The Parc Glòries office building achieves an occupation rate of 84%

The new Parc Glòries office building project, located in Calle Ciutat de Granada, very close to the Plaza de las Glòries and adjacent to Avenida Diagonal, has reached a pre-rental occupancy rate of 84% in the building, with the arrival of the multi-national technology company, King, owner of online games such as Candy Crush and Farm Heroes Saga.

Parc Glòries, which is still in the construction phase, is located in the 22@ District, Barcelona’s technology hub, and has 17 open-plan floors with a total surface area of 24,500m2. Designed by the “Battle i Roig Arquitectura” studio, Parc Glòries has opted to become the first office building that is awarded the Platinum LEED sustainability certification. To obtain this award, the choice of materials, the construction processes and the building’s consumption of natural and energy resources are taken into account.

King, which currently has its head office in Avenida Josep Tarradellas, will occupy 6 floors of the building, and will share space with the Norwegian Group, Schibsted, owner of Infojobs, which pre-rented 11,000m2 in Parc Glòries last year, the largest pre-rental agreement made in Barcelona in the last 10 years.

Occupation of the building currently stands at 84%. Only 4,000m2 over three floors remain available. The opening of Parc Glòries is expected to take place in the second half of 2018.
