On October 17, 2019, MSCI awarded Colonial as the investor (specialist fund) with the highest return in Spanish Real Estate. It is the third consecutive year in which the company receives this award in the "European Property Investment Awards".
On 17 October 2018, MSCI has awarded Colonial for being the specialist fund with the highest real estate return in Spain during the past 3 years (return measured as capital value increase + income return). This MSCI ranking includes listed real estate investors, as well as private investors. This once again demonstrates Colonial Group’s value creation capacity based on an industrial business model, with a significant Alpha component that allows the company to outperform the market.
During the first half of 2017, MSCI rated Colonial as the best performing specialist fund for Spain. In particular, MSCI highlighted that Colonial had obtained the highest total annualized return in the last 3 years as at 31 December 2016 compared to the property sector benchmark.
Colonial honoured as the top listed property company in Europe
The prize awarded in London highlights Colonial's trajectory in 2015 to generate value for its shareholders and to position itself as a European reference in prime offices in the property sector.
In the gala celebrated in London, which brought together the leading property companies in the European market, Colonial was given the European Property Award in the category "Best European Listed Real Estate Company" for 2015. The jury, composed by outstanding professionals in the European property sector, acknowledged Colonial`s path to position itself as a European reference in the prime offices property sector and the success of its strategy to create value.
