Office of the month at Colonial: José Abascal, 45

Colonial’s office of the month for December is a very special property because of its artistic, architectural and historic value which make it an icon within the Chamberí district, a prominent area in Madrid both for its residential value and its commercial activity.

The surroundings of José Abascal, 45, at only 350 metres from the Paseo de la Castellana, are very representative for national and international companies, and its privileged location is perfect for moving around on foot or by public transport.

José Abascal deserves the title of office of the month for all of its benefits, which additionally have recently been renovated in a reform that sought to adapt the singularities of this aristocratic building to the needs of its tenants.

In the lobby, the waiting room has been redecorated in order to create a more welcoming and comfortable area for visitors; the lobby’s directory has been substituted, side illuminating signs with the name of the building have been placed and the emergency door has been replaced in order to align it with the aesthetics of the entrance area.

In the offices, the colour of the doors has been unified to create new, more modern surroundings, in keeping with the renovation carried out in the lobby.

Finally, the car park has also been reformed in which the lighting has been replaced, the ceiling, doors and floor have been painted, the rubbish area has been expanded and the flooring of the stairway has been replaced.

Colonial wanted to preserve the classic style of José Abascal; all of the reforms carried out have been designed to modernise the building’s qualities whilst respecting its classic character.
