The Discovery Building “tops-out” and places the flag
The structure of the Discovery Building office building, which is under construction, has finally been built. Construction is currently taking place of the facades and the other facilities that make up the entire building. The project will be completed in October.
It is Colonial’s first Prime Factory building and has been envisaged and designed by the prestigious Estudio Lamela Architects. A space of 10,000 m2 of open and flexible floors that are adaptable to the needs of each company and which will enable a maximum occupancy of 1 person per 7 m2 of useable space.
The Discovery Building is located on Paseo de la Castellana at Plaza Castilla and very close to the Chamartin Station, one of the areas with the highest concentration of businesses in Madrid.
The building has been designed to obtain the LEED Gold certification, a prestigious seal that a building can achieve in terms of its commitment to sustainability. The criteria used to obtain this seal are the criteria used in the construction of the building, the selection of materials, the construction processes and the decisions made on the consumption of natural and energy resources.
