The direct link between green areas and well-being
Health comes first. Therefore, achieving the well-being of users has become one of the main objectives of companies.
Factors such as green areas are gaining more and more strength within offices and large business complexes, and not just for aesthetic reasons. Having a garden in an office allows employees to disconnect and relax during the work day and at the same time be able to connect with nature.
The benefits are not only aesthetic
Green spaces in the work environment provide more benefits than imagined. According to a study carried out by the University of Technology Sydney (Australia), the presence of plants and green areas in offices reduces depression by up to 58%, anxiety by 37%, fatigue by 38% and even aggressiveness by 44%.
The School of Psychology of the University of Cardiff (United Kingdom) also carried out a study showing that those spaces that had green areas made workers feel more concentrated and improved their productivity by 15% compared to those offices that did not hop on this trend.
In addition, the sun and clean air stimulate well-being, reduce stress, optimize the potential for innovation and encourage the creativity of employees.
The treatment of green spaces in Colonial
Undoubtedly, the value that green spaces bring to companies is enormous, which is why Colonial has added them to many of the buildings.
In the case of the Velázquez 86d office building, there is an indoor garden, a versatile space with personality, which recreates a natural environment. The "garden" is a place to meet, socialize, share, connect, talk about projects or just take a break and have a coffee.
The Window Building, on the other hand, has more than 600 meters of gardens and Travessera de Gràcia and Amigó also have a garden on the rooftop.
Cedro is another of our buildings that has been designed to provide an idyllic habitat: it has private gardens with endemic vegetation of low water need and is surrounded by green areas.
A workspace not only has to be a technological place, it is also important that it has a design and spaces that stimulate people's physical and psychological well-being. Without a doubt, companies that bet on green spaces have a differential value and more possibility of retaining talent.
