Colonial becomes the first Spanish real estate company to be part of the EPRA Council
The European Public Real State Association (EPRA) has chosen Colonial to be part of its Board, with Pere Viñolas, CEO of the company, acting as representative.
EPRA is recognised as the highest representation of the European listed real estate sector, and it is the first time that a Spanish company has had the opportunity to access the governing body of this prestigious association.
The decision was made public during the EPRA’s annual meeting, which was held in Paris. Viñolas, who will represent the south of Europe, will have access to a seat on a board that is reserved for the sector’s main players, such as Unibail Rodamco, Vonovia and Land Securities.
In addition, Colonial has recently been distinguished in the EPRA Awards with two awards in the top category. Specifically, the company kept a hold of the "EPRA Gold Award - Financial Reporting " which it won last year in recognition of its excellence and transparency in reporting financial information to the capital market, and the "EPRA Gold Award - Sustainability", which rewards real estate companies for implementing sustainability measures, highlighting the high quality of Colonial’s assets portfolio in all its markets. Colonial is the only Spanish real estate company that has managed to win these two awards.
